Holcomb Pediatrics and Sports Medicine
Dr. Richard Holcomb graduated with honors from Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, TX. He received an academic scholarship at Angelo State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. He then attended medical school at the University of Texas in Houston. The University of Texas at San Antonio was his first choice to complete his residency in pediatrics and he successfully finished his residency program in 2003. He was accepted into the pediatric sports medicine fellowship program at the University of Texas at San Antonio and completed this fellowship in 2004. Dr. Holcomb is licensed by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics and Sports Medicine. He provides general pediatric care for children ages birth to 19 years of age. In addition, he provides all non-surgical sports injury care for children ages birth to 22 years of age. Dr. Holcomb is the medical director for Boerne Independent School district. He is also the Medical Director for Sports Medicine at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Holcomb is married to his college sweetheart, Michelle, and has two beautiful children, Shaelly and Jack.
Jeanette Cerda has been an employee with Holcomb Pediatrics and Sports Medicine since the doors opened in the Summer 2007. She provides all clinical and administrative services to the patients and families at Holcomb Pediatrics and Sports Medicine. Jeanette is married to her wonderful husband, Noe and has a beautiful daughter, Jimena.
